Queensland Adventure Tour’s OPENWATER Scuba Diving Course
Commence: Every Thursday, Friday, Saterday
Duration: 3 full Days and includes a 2 Day Great Barrier Reef Diving
No Dives: 8 Dives with 4 Open water Training Dives on the Reef.
Course Timetable
Day 1 - 8.30am - 5.30pm Medical, Diving Theory & Pool training
Day 2 - 7.00am - 630 pm Full day on the reef O/Water Dives 1 & 2, plus Snorkel the rest of the day
Day 3 - 7.00am - 630 pm Full Day on the reef O/Water Dives 3 & 4 plus snorkeling the rest of the day
Day 3 evening After the Final Day at Sea - 8pm Evening of fun and food with BBQ and drinks to celebrate.

About the Course
The first two days of the course will be at QATOUR’s diver training centre and pool in Cairns City or at another of our confined water training locations. The Training Centre features all the modern facilities that are needed to learn to scuba dive and lower class numbers means that students get an excellent instruction the use of all the equipment.
Days 3 and 4 are spent on the Great Barrier Reef, onboard QATOUR’s dive vessel, Island Dreamz Diving on a choice of 8 sites exclusive to QATOURS.
What else they need to know

Dive the Amazing Great Barrier Reef
You will need to complete and pass the Australian Standards Dive Medical A.S.4005.1. This can be completed on the first day of the course, when a Doctor will come to the Training Facility. Cost for this medical is not included in the course fees.
- You will need to be able to swim 200 meters and tread water for 10 minutes
- The minimum age is 12yrs and students under 18yrs of age will be required to provide signed parent or guardian consent. Children 12 - 14yrs will attain Junior Open water Diver Certification.
- Accommodation transfers are included in your course package
- On Completion of this course your PADI Open water Certification is recognised world wide.
